for the next project in digital photography class i will be emulating Lori Nix. i chose this photographer because i felt like using miniatures and creating scenes was very unexpected. i would never have thought this could be pulled off successfully unless you used really expensive miniatures but Nix has created a formula that works! she is famous for her scenes of miniatures in scenes of tragedy or decay. im curious to see if i will be able to do this.

i think at this moment i am kind of obsessed with trying to make a huge fantasy world in the woods? im not sure but i think thats where im headed :/

im still learning and not sure of where my education will send me but for now i like to take small walks with my camera and shoot whatever seems to pop out. i save the photos and look at them later and i guess i try to use my imagination to try to make a larger and more complete image.

i really dig bent up trees and random surfaces in nature. it seems that nature gives us really nice random things to use for textures and abstract images we can create that resemble something we recognize but can't exactly place. here are some images i have come across.
